Painting the Human Head with Tom Ouellette

Painting portraits is a traditional path  artists take to become an accomplished painter.  Tom's studio is carefully set up to provide optimum lighting conditions for painting from the model. A controlled palette for flesh is taught along with the four stages of painting. The advantage of this system, particularly for new students, is that the structure of this program keeps them on track. Students know where they are and how to proceed and can 'go back' a step or two without starting over. Their focus is guided and this gives more accurate and faster results. The model will take the same pose for four 3-hr classes.  Tom will give a brief demonstration at the beginning of each class.  8 weeks
