Figure Drawing at The Academy of Realist Art, Boston

Saturday and Thursday Figure Drawing Classes

Rendering the human form is the most difficult task in drawing and the beginning stages of construction are the most important. This 8 week course will address the early stage and it's challenges. Working from the nude model, students will be given a step-by-step system that will improve their ability to accurately capture gesture, proportion and body type. From this general block-in, students will advance towards an exploration of the figure's specific contour and shadow line. Poses will range from  three to six hours. Students will receive individual attention and work at their own pace. All levels are welcome.

Cost is $300. 8 weeks. Saturday mornings June 4- July 30,  10:00 - 1:00. Thursdays June 9-August 4, 6:00-9:00pm

Call to register or use our online "application for admission" form.
